The Volpe National Transportation Systems Center

Program Description: As one of nine major agencies of the United States Department of Transportation (DOT), the Research and Innovative Technologies Administration (RITA) provides vital services to America's dynamic multimodal transportation system. Its safety and research programs strengthen the nation's industrial competitiveness; especially in a global economy where transportation is essential. RITA operates the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts, which is dedicated to enhancing the effectiveness, efficiency and responsiveness of other Federal organizations with critical transportation-related functions.

CNS OMNI Contract: Quantech was awarded a prime contract as a small business to support the Volpe Center in the areas of Communications, Navigation and Surveillance. Team Quantech, consisting of 12 companies, provides support for Volpe and their sponsors in five areas: Radio Frequency Engineering and Technology, Aircraft Surveillance, Airport Operations, National Air Space Engineering and Implementation and Air Traffic Management. Team Quantech provides Volpe an exceptional capability with the depth and breadth to respond to task orders in any of the five technology areas.

TSS OMNI Contract: Quantech was awarded another prime contract to support the Volpe Center in Transportation Security Solutions. Our team of 13 companies provides support for Volpe and their sponsors in two areas: Vulnerability Assessment & Security Planning and System Implementation. Team Quantech provides Volpe expertise in all areas of transportation security including hazardous materials for vulnerability assessments, mitigation planning and implementation, response and recovery.
